The Master of Science in Finance is designed to provide a theoretical understanding of the principles used to analyze financial data for financial planning and investment decision making and also engage students in practical, hands-on, transformative learning experiences with real-world data. In addition to lectures, the program will include the use of the UCO Finance Lab and the UCO Student Investment Fund.
Today’s global financial markets require financial planners and analysts to understand and use the latest theory and technology to make informed financial decisions for companies, investors and financial institutions. The Finance discipline concentrates on the skills and knowledge needed to make and execute financial decisions that weigh risk versus return. The large amounts of data and the speed of the financial markets put a premium on sophisticated financial analysis and the ability to leverage current financial tools and technologies to achieve business goals.
