HLTH 2203 - Intro to Public Health

The course provides a basic introduction to the field of public health, including trends and statistics. Students gain knowledge about complex public health issues and the various agencies involved in addressing these issues. Students are also introduced to the field of health education. Prerequisite(s): HLTH 1112 . Concurrent enrollment in HLTH 4900 , a one-hour practicum, is required and must be approved by advisor. Enrollment open to Community/Public Health major and minor students only.
