ECON 3513 - Oil and Natural Gas Economics


This course will apply economic concepts specifically to the complex oil and natural gas industries. Students will examine the unique challenges faced by upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas companies. The course will also examine regulatory issues arising from the FERC and local regulatory commissions. Derivative securities will be examined as they pertain to hedging in the industry.  

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: ECON 2103  AND ECON 3313
