DES 3173 - Graphic Design I This studio course is an in-depth introduction to graphic design with an emphasis on the development of meaningful concepts and creative problem solving. Students will explore the possibilities of visual communication through the creation of symbols, expressive typography, magazine layouts, and information graphics. This course is structured for graphic design majors. Prerequisite(s): DES 1023 , DES 1033 , DES 1043 , DES 1053 , DES 3133 , and (DES 2163 or concurrent enrollment in DES 2163 ) with sophomore standing. Enrollment open to graphic design or interior design majors and minors only.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: DES 1023 for undergraduate level with minimum grade of D AND DES 1033 for undergraduate level with minimum grade of D AND DES 1043 for undergraduate level with minimum grade of D AND DES 1053 for undergraduate level with minimum grade of D AND DES 3133 for undergraduate level with minimum grade of D AND (DES 2163 for undergraduate level with minimum grade of D OR DES 2163 FOR LEVEL UG WITH MIN.
