ADED 5823 - The Adult Learner

This course emphasizes adult learning theories and the implication those theories have for the education of adults. Psychological, sociological and physiological characteristics of adult learners are examined as well as the changing societal trends and demographics affecting adult education. Individual learning styles, methodologies of instructing adults, and the importance of well-constructed learning environments are also investigated.
