Applied Cultural Sensitivity for Addiction Treatment addresses individual differences in culture and ethnicity as key considerations in the therapeutic counseling of alcohol and drug dependency. Implications for intervention and treatment are addressed for aging adults, people with physical disabilities, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transsexual minorities, and people from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, while applying ethical principles to clinical situations. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment open to Substance Abuse Studies majors only.
