SAS 5353 - Advanced Group Dynamics

Advanced Group Dynamics provides in-depth study of the theory and practice of group therapy as it applies to individuals and families dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues. The course examines ethical and legal aspects as well as research pertaining to best practices and outcome measurement on group treatment in substance abuse and mental health. Students will have the opportunity to facilitate in role play of all aspects of group leadership. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment open to Substance Abuse Studies majors only.
