Support Courses: 7-10 Minimum Required Hours
At least two courses in biology. Each must include a lab. These courses are necessary to meet FEPAC accreditation standards. Forensic Science - Chemistry: 30 Minimum Required Hours
Forensic Science Core: 12 Credit Hours
Forensic Science-Chemistry: 12 Credit Hours
Statistics: 3 Credit Hours
Additional Degree (Chemistry, Chemistry ACS Approved, Chemistry-Environmental Chemistry or Chemistry-Health Sciences)
This is not a stand-alone program. There are two pathways to obtaining this degree: (1) Earn a concurrent UCO degree in one of the majors below* or (2) After completing an appropriate related bachelor’s degree, obtain this degree as a second bachelor’s degree. *B.S. in Chemistry, B.S. in Chemistry - ACS Approved, B.S. in Chemistry - Health Sciences, or B.S. Chemistry - Environmental Chemistry. The number of credits needed to meet degree requirements exceeds 124 hours and will vary according to course selection.
Minimum Grade Requirements
- Average in all college course work and course work at UCO: 2.25
- A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all courses in the major to count toward meeting degree requirements.
