Foundations and Methods Courses: 6 Credit Hours
Gender and the Body Course: 3 Credit Hours
Selected from the following courses: Service Learning and Civic Engagement: 9 Credit Hours
Capstone Course: 3 Credit Hours
Elective Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies: 36 Credit Hours
Select no more than 9 hours from each of the four following categories: 1. Women’s/Gender History

When approved by the Director of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, other 3000/4000 level courses may count towards the major.
Modern Language Requirement: 0-8 Credit Hours
All students completing a B.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies shall complete the first two semesters of a second language. Students may alternatively fulfill the language requirement by proof of academic work in the second language (CLEP test through the Elementary II level, for example SPAN 1224), four years of high school language courses, or transfer work from another institution.
