Major Requirements

Technical Writing: 54-62 Minimum Required Hours

Core Courses: 6 Credit Hours

Literature: 9 Credit Hours

Select 3 of the following courses:

Language and Rhetoric: 15 Credit Hours

Technical Writing: 9 Credit Hours

Guided English Electives (3000/4000 level): 12 Credit Hours

Select from the following:

Any ENG course at the 3000/4000 level: 3 Credit Hours

Modern Language Requirement: 0-8 Credit Hours

All students completing a B.A. in Technical Writing shall complete the first two semesters of a second language. Students may alternatively fulfill the language requirement by proof of academic work in the second language (CLEP test through the Elementary II level, for example SPAN 1224), four years of high school language courses, or transfer work from another institution.
