Core Program Requirements: 18 Credit Hours
Political Science Foundation: 9 Credit Hours
Complete three courses from ONE of the following groups.
American Politics
Select three (3) of the following courses: International Affairs
Select three (3) of the following courses: Law & Courts
Select three (3) of the following courses: Political Science Focused Electives: 9 Credit Hours
Any Political Science course excluding those used to satisfy Political Science Foundation requirements.
Modern Language Requirement: 0-8 Credit Hours
All students completing a B.A. in Political Science shall complete the first two semesters of a second language. Students may alternatively fulfill the language requirement by proof of academic work in the second language (CLEP test through the Elementary II level, for example SPAN 1224), four years of high school language courses, or transfer work from another institution.

Minimum Grade Requirements
Average in (a) all college course work, (b) course work at UCO, and (c) major courses: 2.50
Accelerated Degree Pathway (ADP)
Students wishing to apply for the Accelerated BA/MA programs (including the MA in Political Science or the MA in Political Science - International Affairs) may enroll in three Political Science graduate-level courses as seniors under the Graduate College’s Accelerated Degree Pathway (ADP). Students may choose any cross-listed (4000/5000) course or 5000-level course with permission of the Graduate Advisor for Political Science. Admission requires a 3.0 undergraduate GPA, and application to and approval of the Graduate Advisor for Political Science.

Admission requires a 3.0 undergraduate GPA, and application to and approval of the Graduate Advisor for Political Science.
