Accelerated Degree Pathway (ADP)
UCO’s Early Childhood Education Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction has partnered with the B.S. in Early Childhood Education so that approved students may take up to ten credit hours of 5000-level ECED/ELED courses during their senior year of the B.S. program. These courses will count toward both the B.S. and M.Ed. degrees. A formal application to the M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education program and an approval from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction are required.
Requirements for the M.Ed. program are located in the UCO Graduate Catalog under Curriculum and Instruction - Early Childhood Education, M.Ed.
Up to ten credit hours of the following courses can be used to satisfy both the B.S. in Early Childhood Education and the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Insturction - Early Childhood Education:
ECED 5332 Science in Early Childhood
ECED 5342 Social Studies in Early Childhood
ELED 5263 Assessment/Intervention Reading K-3
ELED 5323 Teaching Mathematics in Preschool/Primary
