ART 3563 - European Art

This course examines the painting, sculpture, architecture, decorative arts, visual culture, artists, and artistic movements in Europe from the Ancient Greek period up to the 21st century. This course studies art and visual culture within the framework of Christianization, colonalism, post colonialism, industrialization, the break of the Communist bloc, the creation of the European Union, and the globalization process, as well as religion, race, and gender concepts.
