ART 3543 - Art of the Americas The course examines the painting, sculpture, architecture, decorative arts, and visual culture created in the Americas from the beginning up to the 21st century. Students study art and visual culture within the framework of the cultural, political, philosophical, economic, and scientific changes, including colonialism, post-colonialism, and the globalization processes, as well as race and gender concepts.
Credit Hours: 3
Enrollment Restrictions: Junior or senior standing.
