ENG 4763 - American Literature 1800-1865

This course is a comprehensive study of the “flowering of American literature” from the beginning of the 19th century to the close of the Civil War. Special consideration is given to many important forms other than the novel, such as poetry, short fiction, and non-fiction prose. 

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: ENG 1113  AND ENG 1213
