ENG 4543 - Film As Literature This course is an introduction to literary and film genres. The chief film forms are presented, through historical and contemporary examples-the western, the comedy, the fantasy, the detective, the musical and Gothic story type. Each is represented by both a literary work and a representative film. Through such a study the student encounters the demands and difficulties of transferring a story from one medium to another.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: ENG 1113 AND ENG 1213
