ENG 4183 - Restoration and Early18th Century British Literature This course offers a comprehensive study of the major authors, genres, and thematic concerns of restoration and early 18th-century British literature. Readings are drawn from a variety of genres, including poetry, drama, prose fiction, and non-fiction prose, and reflect the diverse interests of British writers from the restoration to the Augustan Age. This course also introduces students to recent developments in the study of restoration and early 18th-century British literature and culture, including the work of feminist, comparativist, and cultural critics.
