ELED 4483 - Children’s Literature

Prospective teachers will be exposed to a wide variety of literature appropriate for the preschool through the adolescent years. Literacy elements and skills will be examined as well as the shift from a basal series/skills approach of teaching reading and literature to a more language/literature based method framework. Application and modeling of instructional strategies will represent an integral part of the course.
