ECED 4443 - Theory/Practice In Early Childhood Education The maturationist, behaviorist, and constructivist theories will be presented. Content will include the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice and effective teaching in early childhood settings. Emphasis will be placed on the implementation of constructivist theory into practice including the role of play and developmental approaches to curriculum development.
Credit Hours: 3
Concurrent Enrollment / Corequisites: Concurrent enrollment in ECED 4900 is required.
Enrollment Restrictions: Admission to Teacher Education.
