CJ 4633 - Terrorism And Homeland Security


This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the historical and current context of international and domestic terrorism using a criminological and criminal justice framework. The course will explore terrorist ideologies, existing and potential terrorist threats, and an analysis of recent terrorist attacks. The course will include discussions of the development of the Department of Homeland Security, the Patriot Act, and the role of the criminal justice system in balancing the protection of the United States and the security of civil liberties.  

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: ENG 1113 ENG 1213  AND CJ 1413  

Enrollment Restrictions: Junior or senior standing.
