CJ 1523 - Patrol Procedures


Patrol Procedures is a comprehensive examination of the various types of patrol and the way in which they relate to public safety challenges. The course will focus on the major functions of police patrol and factors to be considered in selection of patrol methods. Techniques used in preventive and apprehensive patrol will be explored along with the effectiveness of patrol methods. The various advantages and disadvantages of foot, bicycle, mounted, and motorized conveyances will be scrutinized.  

Credit Hours: 3

Enrollment Restrictions: Senior standing and admission to Collegiate Officer’s Program (COP). Admission is open to Criminal Justice majors only.
