BIO 4743 - Population Genetics And Laboratory This course is an advanced study of modern population genetic theory. Major topics in this course include: estimating genetic variation within populations; the effects of genetic drift, mutation, selection, and gene flow on genetic variation; inbreeding; estimation of population structure; quantitative genetics; and human population genetics.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: BIO 3303 OR BIO 3703 OR BIO 3223 all with minimum grade of C
Notes: This course consists of two hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week.
