ART 4563 - Jewelry and Metals IV


This advanced course serves as a professional preparation for the student’s final semester(s). Emphasis will be placed on portfolio development in preparation for the senior capstone and practicum co-requisites. The student will propose and organize a thesis and series of semester long projects, continued development of their artist statement, investigate advanced techniques, possible alternative materials, and research contemporary artists practicing in the field of jewelry and metalsmithing. Exhibiting personal work beyond the university setting will be required as part of the portfolio development.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: ART 2903 ART 2463  AND ART 4403  all with minimum grade of C.

Enrollment Restrictions: Junior or senior standing.
