The Graduate Certificate in Forensic Accounting is a 15 hour program combining Accounting, Auditing, Data Analytics and Digital Forensics to prepare students to work in fraud examination, forensic auditing or other related fields. The option exists to sit for the Certified Fraud Examiner certificate while in the program. Students without the required accounting background will need to take an additional self-paced online course to prepare them for the program.

- Online application for admisson www.uco.edu/graduate/
- A letter of application expressing your interest in the program and providing any additional information the applicant believes would be helpful for admission decisions.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an appropriately accredited institution, with an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.75* or above. Official copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts from each instituion attended with all degrees posted. All transcripts must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
- Current resume. **
- Two completed recommendation forms or letters of recommendation from former instructors, employers, or other professionals who can evaluate the applicant’s potential to complete graduate study.
- Evidence of English language proficiency, if not a native speaker. See Admission to Graduate Studies .
- Students with a GPA not meeting these requirements may be granted provisional admission but typically must complete six hours in graduate courses with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for these hours, as approved by the College of Business Graduate Office.
**The Admissions Committee recommends applicants have some relevant work experience, although this is not strictly required. Other Requirements
- Plan of Study. Students must file a plan of study with their graduate program advisor and the Jackson College of Graduate Studies (JCGS) by the end of the first semester of graduate work. The plan must be signed and dated by the graduate program advisor before it can be considered official.
- Academic Standards. Meet the following course work standards
- Overall 3.00 GPA or higher
- No more than 3 hours of “C”
- No more than one retake (including audits and withdrawls) per course.
- Note: All graduate grades, whether repeated or not, will apply to the graduate GPA calculations. No grade of “D” or lower will apply to the degree requirements.
- Students without undergraduate education or work experience in Accounting and/or Statistics will be required to comple the appropriate foundation courses with a “C” or better prior to enrolling in the other courses
- Final Requirement: Apply for graduation through JCGS by the advertised deadline.
