It is strongly recommended that PHY 1114  General Physics I and Lab be taken in the general education pattern.

Minimum Grade Requirements


  1. Average in (a) all college course work, (b) course work at .UCO, and (c) major courses: 2.50
  2. A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all courses in the major to count toward meeting degree requirements.

Accelerated Degree Pathway (ADP)


ADP B.S./M.S.

Students in the B.S. in Mathematics - Applied Mathematics program are eligible to pursue an M.S. in Applied Mathematical Science degree while still an undergraduate, which means that they can take courses that will count toward both the B.S. and M.S. degrees. A formal application to the M.S. Applied Mathematical Science program and approval from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics are required. ADP B.S./P.S.M.

Students in the B.S. in Mathematics - Applied Mathematics program are eligible to pursue an P.S.M. (Professional Science Master’s) in Computational Science - Computational Mathematics while still an undergraduate, which means that they can take courses that will count toward both the B.S. and P.S.M. degrees.
