Advanced Economics: 9 Credit Hours

3000/4000 level ECON coursework.

Advanced Specialization: 9 Credit Hours

3000/4000 level courses from approved fields.

Students are encouraged to pursue a minor. All minors will be considered but must be approved by the program director. Courses belonging to the following list of minors are considered “preapproved” options: All College of Business minors,Occupational Safety, Psychology, Public Health, Arts Administration, Contemporary Music, Geography, History, Humanities, Philosophy, all Political Science minors, all Sociology minors, all College of Mathematics and Science minors.

Minimum Grade Requirements


  1. Average in (a) all college course work, (b) course work at UCO, (c) major courses, and (d) business core courses (including the capstone course): 2.25

Accelerated Degree Pathway (ADP)


Students in the B.B.A. in Economics program are eligible to pursue an M.B.A. in Master of Business Administration or an M.P.A. in Master of Public Administration degree while still an undergraduate, which means that they can take courses that will count towards both the B.B.A. and M.B.A. or M.P.A. degrees. A formal application to the M.B.A. or M.P.A. program and approval from the Department of Economics are required.
