HLTH 5333 - Health Equity & Determinants

This course is designed to examine the impact of social, economic, political, and environmental determinants of health on populations. This course will explore policy and programs needed to meet the CDC goal which states that “health equity is achieved when every person has the opportunity to ‘attain [their] full health potential’ and no one is ‘disadvantaged from achieving this potential because of social position or other socially determined circumstances.’” Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing.
