HLTH 2203 - Introduction to Public Health


The course provides a basic introduction to the field of public health, including trends and statistics. Students gain knowledge about complex public health issues and the various agencies involved in addressing these issues. Students are also introduced to the field of health education.  

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: HLTH 1112  

Concurrent Enrollment / Corequisites: Concurrent enrollment in HLTH 4900, a one-hour practicum, is required for Public Health majors and must be approved by advisor.

Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment open to Community/Public Health major and minor students only.
