ART 3302 - Teaching Art to Children

This course is an activity-oriented approach to teaching art to children and focuses on the multiple values and benefits of as they develop from early childhood through the elementary school years and has the potential to invigorate one’s life in many aspects including artistic skills, pleasure, and creativity. Strategies for engaging children in art, and the theoretical, developmental and research-based frameworks will be presented. Art tools, media, hands-on art techniques will be explored through the practice of creative art experiences for children.
